Autumn, Josh and Baby Maddie

This family was such a pleasure to work with. They were so excited to have Maddie's pictures taken in time for Christmas. It was easy to convince them that mom and dad needed some pictures, too. Maddie was in such a good mood and she was very cooperative with her smiles. We got some great pictures of this lovely family. Thank you guys for such a wonderful session!

Tammy and Ralph

Tammy and Ralph were great to work with. Relaxed and fun are words that come to mind. Tammy was so thrilled to be marrying Ralph, she could not stop giggling with the girls. Congratulations, Tammy and Ralph!

Thanksgiving 2008

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I always feel so blessed this time of year when I get to be with family. I love seeing my son's excitement when he sees his cousins, aunts, and uncles. And thanks to my dear father in law, I get to eat the best turkey this side of the Tennessee River. This year had the added bonus of being my niece's birthday, so Happy Birthday!

Jack

Baby Jack was very interesting. This child did not care if we said his name or did back flips. There were acorns and leaves on the ground and that was all that mattered. Of course, I love capturing a child full of interest and fascination. It really shows in the pictures. When I do a sitting with an infant or small child, part of the time I am just observing, anticipating his or her next move. And while his mom and I loved the idea of an adorable knit cap, Jack did not agree with us. This was definitely a fun session.

Tony and Kate were probably the most adventurous couple in formal wear. All of the rock climbing, hiking, and being silly led to some fantastic photos. The Grandview is an absolutely beautiful location. Everywhere you turn in a photographer's dream, and the food was delicious. Their family and friends were great too! Tony and Kate, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day.

Katie and Clayton- October 19, 2008

Katie, Clayton and I met at Greenway Farms for their engagement session on Sunday afternoon. It was absolutely perfect weather for photos. They were so ready to have some fun and do something different (dare I say adventurous!?). We hiked all over the place, fought our way into some seriously tall leaves, and even climbed a tree. I can't wait to finish editing their session and get their photos to them!

Dawn and Shane- October 18, 2008

I met Dawn several months ago when she contacted me about photographing her wedding. I liked her instantly. She and Shane were very easygoing, and when the time came for photographing the big day, they were just as great. It turned out to be a very windy day, but that made for some interesting photographs!

Katherine and Mickey- Sat, October 11

Saturday was Katherine and Mickey's Wedding at Red Bank United Methodist Church. Katherine looked amazing in her beautiful dress (Monica's). Everything was so relaxed, including the bride and groom. It always amazes me to see two people so ready to commit to one another. The day started, continued and ended smoothly. The reception was held at the church, and the cake was so cool (Jackson's Bakery).
